Elijah had been calling Justice non-stop over the past week. He hadn’t seen his son in a week and it was driving him crazy. He figured she would be over their loss by now. She needed to think about EJ and not be so selfish. He had finally grown tired of getting her voicemail, so he had driven over to her house.

The first thing he noticed was that her car was not parked in the driveway. Justice rarely used her garage, so he knew she hadn’t pulled in there. Still, he got out of his car and used his key to enter the house. He had bought her the house and his son lived here, he didn’t see anything wrong with him having a key.

He didn’t hear any sounds anywhere in the house. He walked up the stairs to see if they were sleeping. Walking into her room, the first thing he noticed was her bed made neatly with clothes laid all over it. He didn’t see her, so he walked down the hall to his son’s room. His closet was open and he could see clothes missing. EJ’s bed was also made. Elijah could see some of his toys were gone.

“Yo! Where the fuck you at with my son? Call me back ASAP. Don’t make me come looking for you, Justice!” Elijah snapped on her voicemail as he walked back down the stairs and into the kitchen. Justice had him all the way fucked up.

Walking into the kitchen he noticed her cell phone on the counter with a note underneath it. He knew something was up.
